This Editorial Policy describes how the FFNickname editorial team makes and checks the pages on FFNickname (ffnickname.com), a Free Fire nickname generator and name-list site. It covers where names come from, what we filter out, how an in-game check works, and how readers can get a page corrected.
Where the names come from
We start from a large pool of decorative Unicode symbols and styled words that we maintain for our name tools, then combine them by hand with words that suit the page — queen and cute styles for girls, attitude and pro styles for boys. Every list on the site is our own set; we study how other name sites organise their pages, but we do not copy their lists.
What we filter out
- Adult, hateful, gambling and drug terms, including ones hidden with look-alike letters or numbers (for example 0 for o, 4 for a).
- Invisible characters and blank fillers the game blocks, such as U+3164 (blocked since OB43).
- Names longer than the 12-character limit players report (verify in your game).
- Duplicates within a page and across our pages.
How an in-game check works
When we test a name, a tester pastes it into Free Fire’s rename screen on an Android phone running the current version (OB55 since 16 September 2026), notes whether the game accepts it and how the profile shows it, then records ✅ shows, ▢ box or ✖ rejected together with the device and date. Until that happens a name is labelled not tested yet. We never fill the column from guesses or copied claims.
Reader submissions
Readers can send names they tested themselves. Each one waits in a review queue and appears only after an editor checks it, with the date it was sent and the result the reader reported. We show the real number of published submissions, never a made-up count.
Use of software and AI
We use software, including AI writing tools, to help draft pages and to screen symbol pools. The FFNickname editorial team decides what is published, and corrects pages when checks or readers show they are wrong.
Updates and corrections
Lists are reviewed when Free Fire ships a new OB update. A page’s “last updated” date changes only when its content really changes. Report an error through the contact form with the page link; if the report holds up, we fix the page and note the date.
FAQ
Why do some lists say “not tested yet” for every name?
Because no in-game test has been done for those names yet, and we prefer an honest label to an invented tick.
Do you accept payment to list a name?
No. Names are chosen by the editorial team or submitted by readers and reviewed; there are no paid placements.
