About FFNickname — Who Builds and Tests the Name Tools

FFNickname (ffnickname.com) is a free Free Fire nickname generator and stylish-name site run by the FFNickname editorial team. It turns a plain name into decorated Unicode styles you can copy, and it checks symbols, blank spaces and length against Free Fire’s name rules before we recommend them.

What a checked name looks like on FFNickname

Every name list on the site shows three things next to each name: the name itself with a copy button, its length against the Free Fire nickname limit, and an in-game check. Here is how that reads:

Name (tap to copy) Length In-game check
6 / 12 not tested yet
7 / 12 not tested yet
A name that uses the Hangul filler U+3164 as a blank — ✖ blocked by the game since OB43 (known rule)

The length column counts Unicode characters and compares them with the 12-character limit most players report (verify in your own rename screen — Garena does not publish the rule). The in-game column only ever holds a real result: ✅ the name shows as typed, ▢ some symbols show as empty boxes, ✖ the game rejects it. If nobody on our team has entered the name on a phone yet, the column says not tested yet.

Who runs FFNickname

FFNickname is run by the FFNickname editorial team, a small independent team that builds the generator, curates the name lists and answers reader reports. We publish under the team name, not under invented personal profiles, and every page is signed by the same team account. The site is a fan project: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Garena or Free Fire.

What the site does

  • Nickname generator. The tool on the FFNickname home page rewrites your name in dozens of Unicode styles (bold, script, small caps, symbol frames) with one-tap copy.
  • Name lists. Themed lists of ready-made Free Fire names, each with a length count and an in-game check column.
  • Symbol and space checks. We track which symbols and blank characters Free Fire accepts. Current example: the no-break space U+00A0 works for a blank-looking name, while the Hangul filler U+3164 has been blocked since update OB43.

How we check names in Free Fire

When we run an in-game check, we use an Android phone with the current Free Fire version (OB55, released 16 September 2026). We paste the name into the rename screen, note whether the game accepts it, and look at how it appears on the profile. The result is recorded with the device and the date, and only then does ✅, ▢ or ✖ replace not tested yet. We never fill that column from guesses, other websites or reader votes.

Two game rules sit behind every list and are marked “verify” until we have tested them ourselves: the nickname length limit (reported as 12 characters) and the rename price (a Rename Card or 390 diamonds, as widely reported). Garena can change both without notice.

How often pages are updated

Name lists and symbol notes are reviewed when Free Fire ships a new OB version, because that is when character rules change. Each page shows the date of its last real change; we do not move dates for cosmetic edits. When a trick stops working — like the old U+3164 blank name — we say so on the page instead of leaving stale advice online.

What happens to the names you type

Styles appear instantly in your browser as you type. When you press Create name, the name is sent to our own name-data server so the full set of styles can be built, and we keep an anonymous daily count of generated names. The full details, including advertising and security logs, are in our Privacy Policy.

Reporting a problem

Found a name that shows as boxes, or one that Free Fire rejects? Tell us the name, what the game showed and your phone model. The form and all our rules are on our contact and policy pages, and every report with specifics gets checked.

FAQ

Is FFNickname an official Free Fire website?

No. FFNickname is an independent fan site. Free Fire is a game by Garena, and Garena has no part in this site.

Who writes the name lists?

The FFNickname editorial team. Lists are built from a large pool of decorative Unicode symbols, filtered to remove adult or gambling terms and invisible characters, and then styled by hand.

Are the names tested in Free Fire?

Only where the list says ✅, ▢ or ✖ with a date. Everywhere else it says not tested yet, because we will not claim a test that did not happen.

Does FFNickname ask for my Free Fire account or password?

Never. You copy a name here and paste it into the game yourself. Nobody from FFNickname will ask for your login, UID password or diamonds.
